Afrouz Motedaeiny, O.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Motedaeiny, fondly referred to as “Dr. M,” graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there, she attended Nova Southeastern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences, and then a Doctor of Optometry from Nova’s College of Optometry. After working as a Clinical Optometrist for over 5 years at a high volume ophthalmology practice in anterior and posterior segment diseases, Dr. M joined Premier in 2012. In 2017 Dr. M was named Medical Director at Premier.

Dr. M provides leadership to Premier’s Utilization Management, Quality Improvement & Compliance, and, Credentialing programs and committees. In addition, she continuously reviews and revises our Clinical Guidelines ensuring that Premier is always at the forefront of best practices. On a daily basis, Dr. M provides oversite and direction for medical necessity determinations in adherence to clinical guidelines, health plan, Medicare and Medicaid criteria for our national network.
