Premier Hires Anna Pinera as New VP of National Network Management

TAMPA, Fla. (June 20, 2013) –Premier Eye Care is pleased to announce that Anna Pinera has been hired as Vice President of National Network Management, responsible for working with the leadership team to develop, cultivate and maintain provider networks.

With 25 years of experience in the managed care industry, Pinera has acquired expertise in network development and provider relations together with an in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and enhanced member benefit contracting.

Prior to joining Premier, Pinera worked at two large health plans, leading the National Ancillary Contracting team at WellCare, and the Network Management regional team at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida.She was responsible for complex network agreement negotiations, vendor management, provider relations and network expansion efforts.

In her new role, Pinera develops and manages the national provider network for all health care plan contracts, and as a member of the leadership team,participates in ongoing strategic planning for business development.

Pinera holds a degree in business from the University of South Florida.
