Tampa, Fla. (August 11, 2020) – Premier Eye Care, a leader in national managed eye care, announces that Shari Basye has been promoted to the position of Chief Collaboration Officer.

Basye joined Premier Eye Care in 1998 and has served in key leadership roles, including her most recent as Vice President of Operations. In her new role, Basye serves on the executive team providing strategic direction to Premier. Basye brings unique expertise on shaping organizational policies and professional development initiatives that are consistent with Premier’s commitment to the triple bottom line—people, planet and profit.

“When I joined Premier, there was a clear commitment to diversity, equity and inclusivity,” said Basye. “Looking at our decades of business achievements, Premier is evidence that the more diverse the team, the stronger the company. I’m proud to help continue this commitment and drive success.”

For more than 20 years, Basye has focused on Premier’s culture, resulting in numerous accolades. For the last eight consecutive years, Premier has been recognized as one of the best companies to work for in Florida, ranking No. 1 in mid-size companies statewide in both 2019 and 2020.

Additionally, Premier ranked as one of the top 75 companies in the nation for millennials. More than half of Premier’s team is comprised of millennials, of which 40 percent have a tenure greater than eight years.

“Shari has been a fundamental contributor to our corporate culture that supports high associate engagement and low turnover,” said Lorna Taylor, president and CEO of Premier Eye Care. “This leads to ever-deepening team expertise, as well as costs savings that are passed on to our partners.”
