Jeff Nowak joins Premier Eye Care as Chief Solutions Officer

TAMPA, Fla. (March 6, 2017) – Jeff Nowak, an experienced leader in health care operations and technology, has joined Premier Eye Care as Chief Solutions Officer, where he is focused on addressing short and long-term business challenges and opportunities with technology solutions.

Nowak joins Premier with more than 25 years of experience, including high-level operational roles at MedHOK, Inc., Elsevier and WellCare Health Plans. He has deep experience in leading teams that use innovation and process improvement to help meet the evolving needs of customers.

His leadership in these areas lines up well with the work and approach at Premier, which has a reputation for developing innovative delivery models for ophthalmic managed eye care, while also supporting high-quality ophthalmic disease management programs and customized financial models on behalf of their national health plan partners.

“At Premier, we continuously reinvent the paradigm of how best-practice business is done by harmonizing technology, people and innovative solutions to meet the ever changing needs of our nuanced and complex business environment,” said Lorna Taylor, President and CEO of Premier. “Jeff shares our vision, and his skills and experience are a great fit for us.”

Certainly, efficiency is a must at Premier, considering that the company manages in excess of 25 million committed database transactions every day. But just as important, Premier must always be ready to adjust its processes and technology to meet the demands of an ever-changing regulatory and business environment.

“I get very excited working with smart, dedicated people who are using technology to solve complex business challenges,” Nowak said. “Premier leverages leading-edge technology while keeping, at its core, a focus on people. This unique combination of innovation, team collaboration, and commitment to quality is very powerful.”

The exceptional performance of Premier’s operations is reflected by the recent announcement that the company has received a perfect score on their Re-Certification for Utilization Management and Credentialing from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
