TAMPA, Fla. (March 12, 2018) – Lorna Taylor, President and CEO of Premier Eye Care and one of the area’s most prominent business leaders, was honored with the 2018 Leadership Award by Working Women of Tampa Bay at its International Women’s Day Lunch on March 2.
The award, presented annually at the luncheon, recognizes Tampa Bay area women who excel in their careers and make a significant difference in the community.
Under Taylor’s leadership, Tampa-based Premier Eye Care has become a national leader in managed eye care and technology-based solutions. The company is celebrated for its corporate culture, making a commitment to diversity at every level of leadership, paying a living wage, and providing gender pay equity.

The company has also ranked as one of “Florida’s Best Companies to Work For” by Florida Trend for five consecutive years, and as one of the state’s fastest-growing companies by the Florida Business Journals.
“Lorna exemplifies the qualities a leader in today’s world should have, and sets an excellent example for working women everywhere,” said Jessica Rivelli, founder of Working Women Tampa Bay. “We are proud to recognize her contributions both professionally and personally.”
Personally, Taylor is involved in a wide variety of community and nonprofit causes. She serves on the boards of The DalĂ Museum, Preserve Vision Florida, Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence Foundation, University of Tampa Board of Trustees, Arts Conservatory for Teens, and Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts.
