Eye-care CEO nabs top women’s leadership award

Lorna Taylor has been honored by the Working Women of Tampa Bay.

TAMPA — Premier Eye Care president and CEO Lorna Taylor received the 2018 Leadership Award from the Working Women of Tampa Bay at the organization’s annual International Women’s Day luncheon March 2.

According to a press release, the award honors highly accomplished women who make a difference in the Tampa Bay community and excel in their careers.

Taylor, the release states, has been instrumental in making Premier Eye Care a national leader in managed eye care. Under her leadership, the company has made a strong commitment to workplace diversity, paying a living wage and gender pay equity.

Taylor is also active in many community and nonprofit causes. She serves on the boards of the Dalí Museum, Preserve Vision Florida, Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence Foundation, University of Tampa Board of Trustees, Arts Conservatory for Teens and Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture and the Arts.

“Lorna exemplifies the qualities a leader in today’s world should have, and sets an excellent example for working women everywhere,” states Jessica Rivelli, founder of Working Women Tampa Bay, in the release. “We are proud to recognize her contributions both professionally and personally.”
